If you could go back in time and ask a CTO from 2001 what outsourcing IT is, you would probably hear that it’s about ordering software based on detailed specifications.

Culture & People
We're spending more time in meetings than ever. The sharpest folks we've interviewed share their best tips for making sure this time is well spent.
Following up after a meeting can be forgotten when you get caught up in ensuring your meeting runs smoothly from beginning to end on top of working through your to-do lists.
What could you do, how great could you be if you weren’t afraid? The greatest prohibitor of growth in both our personal and professional lives is ourselves; we stand in our own way. Why? Most often it’s because we lack confidence in our abilities, or what is referred to as a confidence gap.
In order to properly treat your internal platform as a product, having accurate metrics of its adoption is key to success. Naranja defined three main concepts to understand platform adoption: applicability, adoption and up-to-dateness.
Leadership & Self-management
Leadership is a mindset. It’s not just a role you act within. Most people think of leadership as a predefined role constricted to a job title.
On numerous projects during my career, the stakes have been high. Once I directed a short film for Dentsu Advertising in Tokyo – at that time the largest advertising agency in the world. Another project was directing an expensive music video that launched a pop album with Universal Music Group.
Early on in our careers, we are schooled in the importance of the elevator pitch, so that we can deliver a concise answer if somebody important we meet in passing asks, “What are you working on?” or “What do you do here?” The succinct sales pitch is also an essential skill for entrepreneurs
I have rarely met a manager that wasn’t swamped daily with meetings, emails, and fires to put out. If this is you, keeping your head above water is your primary objective day-to-day. Forget about being proactive, you can barely react to the unexpected, which occurs daily.
Agile, Engineering & Product
Andy says: "An impressive list of rules and laws that Allen has developed during his time as an agile and transformation consultant. Some are inevitably controversial - what do you think of the list?"
Writing code and deploying it to AWS Lambda is as easy as baking a cake (depending on the type of cake). Lambda performs the heavy lifting for you, from provisioning to scaling. But where is the magic happening and how does it actually work under the hood? Lets find out together!
Replicate existing functionality of a legacy system using a new technology stack. They are all too aware that there is an chance to make improvements, optimize processes and unlock new opportunities.
I had been summoned for a sudden meeting by our Chief Product Officer (CPO). He told me the meeting was urgent and important, and I should drop whatever I was doing to make it. I was five months into my first job as a product owner.
